About Us

Hindu is the oldest religion in the world based on the Vedic scriptures. Hindu Religion, Sanatana Dharma, has evolved eternally throughout the ages. Today, Hindu becomes the religion of the third largest of followers in the world. However, there are still many problems and challenges faced by the Hindus, whether those come from internal or external ones. The existence of the various organizations that adopt the Hindu religion must be designed in order to overcome these challenges and to improve the quality of life of the people. Therefore, all Hindu-affiliated organizations must unite to reach the same goals so that all work effectively and productively for the benefit of the Hindus.

In respect to these phenomenon, it has been conducted “World Hindu Summit   or  WHS” in Denpasar, Bali, on 6-9 June 2012. WHS has produced the Bali Charter, as the followings:

THE BALI CHARTER

We, the delegates of World Hindu Summit 2012 held at Denpasar Bali, 9 June through 12 June 2012, after profound deliberations, declare and resolve:

  • To unify the spiritual and service (Seva) activities of Hindu globally.
  • To promote the human values expounded by Hindu Dharma Shashtras (scriptures) and imbibed in Hindu Culture namely, Satya (Truth), Shivam (Wisdom), and Sundaram (Purity) universally.
  • To Promote Equal Respect among various Religions.
  • To work to establish Mutual Respect for Harmonious world.
  • Need to set up “World Hindu Parishad” an organization to unify Hindu, coordinate activities and propagate Hindu Dharma globally.
  • Need to set up “World Hindu Centre” at Denpasar Bali to fulfill the above objective.
  • We also agree to hold annual “World Hindu Wisdom Meet” at Denpasar Bali under the auspice of World Hindu Centre.
  • To give opportunity to Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia
  • Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia to assume responsibility to establish Working Committee with two main tasks: Preparing World Hindu Wisdom Meet 2013 and designing the organization of the World Hindu Parisad.

Based on the spirit of Bali Charter above, then it will be established World Hindu Parisad as an organization that adopts the Hinduism to achieve the objectives of the Bali Charter.

Visions of WHP

The realization of an effective and respected World Hindu Organization in order to protect the Hindus as well as to spread the Hinduism values globally.

Missions of WHP

  1. To unify the spiritual and service (seva) activities of Hindu globally.
  2. To promote the implementation of the human values expounded by Hindu Dharma Shashtras (scriptures) and imbibed in Hindu Culture namely, Satya (Truth), Shivam (Wisdom), and Sundaram (Purity) universally.
  3. To Promote Equal Respect among various Religions.
  4. To work together to establish mutual respect for achieving a harmonious world.

World Hindu Centre
As the implementing body of the World Hindu Parishad during the World Hindu Summit 2013 a World Hindu Centre will be formed to technically work in realizing the programs agreed upon by the World Hindu Parisad.
